1. Vendor Code of Conduct
This is the “Ethical Standard” for anyone selling on Shop4It.
- Authenticity Guaranteed: Vendors may only list genuine products. Counterfeit or “grey market” goods are strictly prohibited.
- Prompt Fulfillment: Orders must be processed and marked as “Shipped” within 24–48 hours.
- Truth in Advertising: Product images must accurately reflect the item being sold. No misleading descriptions.
- Professional Communication: Vendors must respond to customer inquiries within 1 business day with courtesy and professionalism.
- Fair Pricing: Prices must be competitive and must not be artificially inflated to cover the 5% lifetime commission (for March/April 2026 registrants).
2. Vendor Terms of Use
This is the “Legal Framework” between Shop4It and the Seller.
A. The Platform Relationship
Shop4It (operated by E and H Trading Pty Ltd) provides the platform. The actual contract of sale is strictly between the Vendor and the Buyer. Shop4It is not a party to the transaction but facilitates the payment and dispute resolution.
B. Commission & Payments
Commission: A fixed commission (e.g., 5% for early pioneers) is deducted from each sale, & 10% in general.
Payouts: Payments are released to vendors after a mandatory “cooling-off” period (to account for South African consumer law returns), typically 2-5 days after confirmed delivery.
C. Returns & Refunds
Vendors must adhere to the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). If a product is defective, the vendor is responsible for the cost of the return and the full refund.
D. Account Termination
Shop4It reserves the right to suspend or terminate any vendor account for:
- Excessive negative feedback (above 15%).
- Selling prohibited items.
- Attempting to bypass the platform to sell directly to Shop4It customers.
